Design Process
Having a design partner with the skills to help you move from what feels impossible to possible with style and within your budget is key. Our product specialists/designers create a project and communication plan with you and your chosen contractor(s) or can manage non-structural, interior remodeling support with Drexel Interior’s flooring, cabinetry and decorative tile install teams if desired. Our approach helps guide the process along with the goal of seeing your project completed successfully with less stress.
STEP 1: Initial Design Meeting (Free Design Consultation)
In your Initial Design Meeting, a designer will go over your interior upgrade or new build ideas and discuss the best products and approach to meet your goals and your budget.
This meeting can take place in either the showroom or your home If meeting in the showroom, bring pictures and rough dimensions of your space to share. If meeting in the home, the designer will take measurements to create a CAD layout.
Be ready with some style inspiration pictures you can share with the designer Don’t limit your brainstorming. We will help combine your style and function goals with what is comfortable to your budget
Step 2: Material Selection and Functional Planning with Design Experts
Cabinets, counters, tile, floor, hardware ... oh my! In this meeting, your design expert helps you pull the whole vision together and lays it out (literally) before your eyes. Our showroom is curated with a wide variety of brands to help you match the best products with your vision and budget.
Step 3. Custom Design & 3D Renderings
With your materials selected, we bring your project to life through detailed layouts and full-color 3D renderings. You'll see exactly how everything comes together.
Step 4. Proposal & Revisions
We present a clear, itemized proposal and work with you to fine-tune any details. Your designer will discuss pricing and options to create more value or add more features if desired. Once you're completely satisfied, your project is ready for the next steps with confidence.
Step 5. Project Contract and Purchase
Now that you have an exact price for materials, we will supply you with a full set of drawings with exact measurements and specifications to sign off on your purchase. We work out timelines with you and (or) your contractor to get the materials ordered and delivered for install to the job site. Drexel Interiors offers install support when needed and works with a variety of install teams to also quote install labor if needed.
Step 6: Installation and Field Managment (if needed by Drexel)
If the interior project does not involve structural or exterior remodeling, Drexel Interiors can supply you with demo and install labor. If this is desired, your project will be assigned a dedicated field manager who will meet with you to go over every step of what is needed for any demo and installation work to be fully completed and successful.
